What's new?

  • City staff put together a list of food resources for those in need, and ways to help. If you're able to donate food or funding this month, please do.
  • Thanks to the efforts of many volunteers and donors, and almost 16,000 voters, I won my 2025 re-election campaign. Read my post-election note here.
  • Apply for up to $2,000 in funding for community-led 2026 MLK Day events that advance racial equity. Applications are due by Dec. 6.

This week at City Council

The Council will hear an update on the Civic Area Phase 2 concept plan, next steps, and how community input shaped the proposal. They'll also review the 2026 Policy Statement, which guides Boulder’s work on regional, state, and federal issues.

Get engaged

Learn about 2026 Arts and Culture grants at a Nov. 12 info session, share feedback on e-bike and e-scooter programs by Nov. 16, and visit the Firefly Handmade Holiday Market downtown Nov. 15–16.

Community kudos

Boulder’s emissions dropped 8% last year, the first BoulderMOD duplex arrived at Ponderosa, and the city signed a global pact to protect urban biodiversity.

What I'm reading/listening to

2025 election recaps, Colorado lawmakers face ethics complaints over a $25,000 donation used to fund a Vail retreat, the state continues to research inequalities caused by historic and ongoing systemic racism against Black Coloradans.

Quote for the month

In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act.
