What's new?
There's no Council meeting on May 29, so Nicole's Notes will return the week of June 2. Here's some extra information to hold you over until then.
- City staff break down how Boulder's government works on the latest episode of Let's Talk Boulder.
- City staff created a new wildfire resilience website and quarterly wildfire resilience newsletter (subscribe here).
- Critical sewer and stormwater utility infrastructure maintenance at Canyon and 11th should end mid-June.
- Applications for the city's Food Tax Rebate program close June 30.
This week at City Council
The Council will hold a special meeting with the Planning Board this week to discuss the progress of the Boulder Valley Comprehensive Plan and its next steps.
Get engaged
Complete a short questionnaire by June 1 to share your thoughts on how you'd make your home, property, or workplace healthier and more energy efficient.
Community kudos
Congratulations to all the 2025 graduates! Thank you to CU's Basic Needs Center for hosting a monthly mobile food pantry this summer, starting on May 22.
Quote for the month
I never thought in terms of fear. I thought in terms of justice.
-Labor leader and union organizer Emma Tenayuca
What I'm reading/listening to
The good: high school commencements, labor movement successes. The bad: More local cuts, increasingly blatant federal corruption, data consolidation risks.
