What's new?
- CU Boulder's mobile food pantry is open on Thursday, July 24. Residents of Boulder and Broomfield counties can also receive up to 30 pounds of free food.
- This week, the city transitioned to a new platform for publishing City Council agendas, materials, and meeting minutes in a clearer, more accessible format.
- Last week, I transitioned to unemployment. The state system is a taxpayer-funded obstacle course designed to punish its users. I’ll post a how-to guide once I get some dignity back.
This week at City Council
The Council will hear an update on efforts to support Boulder's manufactured home communities and weigh in on four options for growing our local economy.
Get engaged
Give feedback on the Affordable Housing Impact Fee for scrapes and large remodels of single-family homes, attend a free concert in the park, and more.
Community kudos
In addition to the new agenda management software, staff installed new trailhead cameras and repaired bridges and sewer lines while the Council was on recess.
Quote for the month
... to be you is to be a guardian of not just your own soul, but the souls of those who mistakenly think their own lives would be better if you would be someone other than who you are.
-Colorado poet laureate and Boulder County resident, Andrea Gibson. May their memory continue guiding us toward courageous love for ourselves and others.
What I'm reading/listening to
Boulder Weekly fires its staff and stops printing, a poignant interview with Andrea Gibson, healing and connection through plants in the Pale of Settlement.
