What's new?
Inauguration Day falling on Martin Luther King Jr. Day juxtaposes two paths for our country.
I won't send out a newsletter next week, since we don't have a meeting. However, I'll try to post some Q&As on hot topics like snow removal on my blog.
This week at City Council
At this week's study session, the Council will give feedback on the final stage of a 10-year project to update Boulder's parking strategy, discuss the city's role in behavioral health, and review committee appointments.
Get engaged
This week you can tour the inside of Boulder Fire-Rescue’s new Station 3, share your vision for Boulder's future, or get an economic forecast from local economists.
Community Kudos
Housing and Human Services staff initiated an Extreme Weather Shelter, Community Connectors are reshaping local policy- and decision-making, and Boulder Reporting Lab's Brooke Stephenson interviewed the city's Wildland Fire Division Chief.
Quote for the month
…building a culture of care, grounded in a refusal to abandon one another, will be fundamental to any meaningful struggle in these disastrous times.
-Author, organizer, and educator Kelly Hayes
What I'm reading/listening to
Family homelessness increases in Boulder County, creating housing for the public good, wildfires in a warming climate, and surveillance capitalism under Trump 2.0.
