What's new?

Last week the Council moved forward residential zoning changes. For better or worse, these changes will impact future residents, workers, and students far more than they will impact us.

The Council also passed ordinances to comply with new state laws on natural medicine businesses and mobile electronic device use while driving, and made the next two business meetings virtual.

This week at City Council

This week features a public hearing related to a proposed St. Julien expansion. The Council called up this Planning Board decision last year. It’s quasi-judicial, which constrains the Council's decision-making.

Get engaged

Learn about the city’s Boards and Commissions, meet current members, and consider applying to serve as a member at this week’s Board and Commission Open House (1/14, 4:30-6:30 pm).

Community Kudos

Parks & Recreation released an informative and actionable State of the Urban Forest report, downtown bus station improvements begin this week, and a Boulder Fire-Rescue team left for LA.

Quote for the month

…building a culture of care, grounded in a refusal to abandon one another, will be fundamental to any meaningful struggle in these disastrous times.

-Author, organizer, and educator Kelly Hayes
